At the beginning of WW2 my Father was a member of the TA at Stonecott Hill ,After being Discharched a few times because he was too old the Army at Finsbury Barracks gave him a job as Caretaker of Hackbridge Drill Hall after serving in the Army all his life from the year 1906 to 1952. I went to Hackbridge as a schoolgirl and we left after my
Father died in 1952 a married woman with two sons.
Does anyone remember Old Joe?
