During the blitz on London my father in law who worked as a baker in Enfield close to the Small Arms factory, arose early in the morning to go to work.As normal he went to the outside toilet,as he pulled the chain a German bomb landed on the air raid shelter in the garden and as he put it "I pulled the chain and the house fell down",on falling back on the pan the china disintergrated mainly into his behind. He was rushed to hospital and for the next two hours the china was picked out of his backside,he replaced his trousers but every time he sat down he was in agony and stated there must be more china in his backside. After his trousers had been lowered and lifted many times his false teeth were found in his back pocket. He never wore false teeth again.
