The first colour photograph in summer 1942. My mother standing together with Peter on her right and Susan Hunter and Peter Levitt on her left and the two youngest internees, Wendy Levitt and Sarah. The background is the camp garden carefully laid out by the Nuns. They disapproved of naked flesh and told us to go indoors and dress properly!
