My grandad was an employee of India Rubber Gutta Percha company and employed as a fireman there.
When the Blitz came the family lived in Winchester Street and he was on fire duty.My dad told me he did not see his dad (my grandad) for three days because he was working. The family did not know if he was alive or dead. Would love to be able to find out more about these men.
