Guernsey's renowned clematis grower, Raymond Evison, has won yet another gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in London. His exhibit, made up of more than 1600 plants, all raised at his Guernsey nursery, has been widely admired. ![]() The Evison's daughters and their clematis This latest gold medal is the ninth Chelsea gold medal since the Evison operation was set up in Guernsey. Raymond Evison himself has won more than 20 RHS gold medals. This week, he unveiled his latest cultivar at Chelsea, 'Rebecca', named after one of his three daughters. This is the third flower named after his daughters, the others being Anna Louise and Franziska Maria. He was full of praise for those behind the scenes: "It's very much a team effort." He was part of a team of three who put the exhibition together over six days.
