Do you remember the days when Tom Hanks made comedy movies? One of his most popular efforts was undoubtedly "Big", and there are bound to be a few of you that'll want to invoke some old memories with this amusing body-swap flick. The good news is that the film looks every bit as fresh and zingy as Tom Hanks did way back in the 80s.

While not perhaps the most important film to be seen in widescreen, here is the first chance to see it in its original 1.85:1 ratio on a home format. Fox has sourced an excellent print and the image looks clean and bright.

The 2.0 surround mix tends to stick to the front speakers, but there's some action from the rears during the fairground scenes.

As for extra features, there's only a trailer, but technically the disc is good. The main menu screen is a missed opportunity though. If they'd wanted to be clever they'd have built the menu around the film's 'Zoltar Speaks' machine. Now that would have been cool, wouldn't it?
