The new £4.4 million learning resources centre at Kingston Maurward College in Dorchester was recently opened, and provides the 4,000 students with state of the art IT facilities, a comprehensive reference library, high-tech laboratories and admin offices.

The low level building design features extensive use of sustainable natural materials, including a roof covered in natural vegetation all done to minimise the impact on the surrounding countryside.

The new learning resources centre lies in the grounds of the 750 acre campus and is the single biggest investment the college has made in its fifty year history.

This new addition will help keep Kingston Maurward as one of the leading Countryside Colleges in the country.
