Scott McKeon is celebrating his debut album with a UK tour that starts with a gig in his home town of Wimborne. The blues musician picked up his first guitar at the age of four. At the age of seven he’d already made his debut on national TV. Scott won the Guitarist Magazine’s Young Guitarist of the Year award in 1998 and is now listed as one of the 27 best blues guitar players in the world on Google. Scott’s band is made up of Ben Jones on drums and Geoff Lai on bass and backing vocals. They’ve already played on the main stage at the Colne great British Rhythm and Blues Festival and Bishopstock. The band’s gig at the Tivoli on Friday 31 August will kick start their UK tour in September. They’ll be supported by Purbeck band Re-instated. Tickets are available from the Tivoli Theatre.
