Pudsey's Aquarium Party

Radio and TV celebrities from BBC South West joined Pudsey Bear for a Children In Need day party at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth. Hundreds of fundraisers joined in the fun, too.

Hundreds of fundraisers joined Pudsey and BBC radio and TV presenters for a Children in Need party at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth.

BBC Spotlight celebrities Justin Leigh, Victoria Graham and David Braine were there, along with fundraisers who had successfully applied for tickets for the event.

This year the total raised on Children in Need night by people in the South West was £486,738 - we'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped fundraise.

Underwater dinner

An underwater dinner during the party

Guests for the 2007 Pudsey Party included male voice choirs from Cornwall, local schoolchildren, the former British Champion free-diver Hannah Stacey and last, but not least, the sharks and fish from Britain's biggest aquarium.

The party started at 7pm on Friday 16 November - and it even included an underwater dinner and dance in one of the tanks.

The party was broadcast live across the South West region during the evening.

Every single penny raised will go towards helping disadvantaged children, including those with acquired brain injuries, special needs, behavioural problems, and those who have been homeless or bereaved.
