For Kendal Judo Club, that moment will come sooner rather than later, as their training facilities are due to host the Oceanian Olympic Judo teams, in the build up to the games. Teams from countries such as Australia, Samoa as well as the United States will be using the venue as their base in the weeks before the Olympics start in July 2012. Kendal's Head Coach, Mike Liptrot, is very excited at the prospect of hosting all the different nations - a judo family gathering. Help playing audio/video Not only will Kendal see other nations train at their purpose built facilities on Parkside Road, but one of their own could be in the GB squad for the 2012 Games. ![]() Judo Action. Michael Horley, 23, has been tipped by many to be representing team GB in the 90KG class during the London games. Having been selected to go to the World Cup Championships in Birmingham this September, his goal is to represent his country in the Olympics. He says that his preparation for 2012 is going well. Fingers crossed that everything goes well for all the athletes in 2012 and everyone's hard work pays off.
