Friday morning saw Holmrook based arm wrestler Ted Wilson join BBC Radio Cumbria's breakfast presenter Mike Parr for a spot of muscle flexing.

Ted is currently in training for the Arm Wrestling World Championships to be held during September in Italy and spent some time wrestling sports reporter James Phillips and Mike, as he steps up his preparation.

Joined by training partner, and Polish National Champion Dawid Groch, the 60kg British Champion demonstrated just how much effort & commitment is needed in the run up to such an important International event.

BBC Blast sports reporter Natalia Bradford joined Ted in his gym earlier in the week, to see just how his training was progressing.

So on to the main event, wrestling James & Mike.

Needless to say all Ted's hard work and preparation in training had been going well, as in less than half a second James was defeated by a superb quick start.

Next up was a tough contest against Mike, and although at a disadvantage of having to reach down to get his grip, once again Ted managed to knock over his opposition in double quick time.

With Ted in such awesome form, surely a World Championship medal isn't too far round the corner.
