Come and join in the free dance workshops on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at The Lanternhouse in Ulverston!

Choreographer Jeanie McCaghren, working in collaboration with digital artists Folly, will invite the webcam participants and the live participants to interact with each other in a combination of fun dance moves, and challenging and clever improvisation movement games.

Or dance with everyone else via your web cam by downloading free video conferencing software from www.ooVoo.com and from www.skype.com - then send the account user names to vccc3@live.com along with the time you can dance that day. VC3 will then send you instructions about how to use the software for the test event.

Your webcam image will then be projected onto a screen with other webcam users (think Brady Bunch opening credits) which will be shown to a group of live participants. Another camera will be recording all of the webcams and projecting them onto a screen so you can view your projected web cam image amongst the live participants.

Over the coming days before the January 31st event you can log on to www.youtube.com/VC3DANCE to view and learn some simple online dances that you can do. You can also have a chance to show your own moves (simple sequences please) by adding Vcc Choreography as a friend on Facebook and post some of your moves onto the Facebook page!

If you are a WAP phone user and would like to be involved email your mobile phone number to vccc3@live.com. Your number will only be used to send you a short video dance sequence for you to learn and then to send on to a friend or colleague so they can join in the fun too. VC3 are interested in how this can be passed on virally.
