Knit along with Malc

Have you always wanted to knit, but never known where to start, or maybe you’re an experienced knitter who wants an idea for a new project? Well, you may like to knit along with Malc...

Well join BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Malcolm Boyden’s producer Vicki Richards in knitting a Sky Blues scarf!

We've got Gloria the sheep predicting scores - what better way to continue the woolly theme than to knit a scarf!?

The rules are simple – knit a different coloured bar on the scarf for every championship goal this season… and the rest is up to you!

Then, at the end of the season, the better that Coventry City plays, the longer the scarf!

Vicki has made hers very wide at a whopping 82 stitches, in a basic knitting stitch and each bar is 3 and a half cm long, but you could customise your own – by using a different stitch, doing the bars a different length or width, adding a fringe – or even doing one in away colours!

Let Malcolm know how you’re getting on throughout the season by calling BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, sending pictures in or emailing: weekendswithmalc@bbc.co.uk.

And if you’re an experienced knitter and you’d like to come on the show and help Vicki knit her scarf (because she’s very slow!) then you can email her on: vicki.richards@bbc.co.uk.

Happy knitting!
