Pudsey's Big Day is Friday 20 November 2009, and already events are coming into Pudsey's Cornish headquarters at BBC Radio Cornwall. Need some inspiration, BBC Radio Cornwall's Children in Need reporter Matt Shepherd looks back on last year's event: Help playing audio/video There'll be a Zumbathon for Pudsey in St Austell on Tuesday 17th November Last year Community Assisted Projects held a big bed push from Porthtowan to Penryn. Now the team members are planning to push a huge ball from Land's End to the Tamar Bridge. Look out for them from Tuesday 17 November 2009. The Culdrose Branch of the Royal Navy Motorcycle Club are conducting a runway run on Friday 6 November. This event will only be open to bikers who work within the armed forces or are MoD contractors. ![]() Maybe dress up at work... Organisers are hoping to be conducting gate collections of shore establishments within the South West area and during fuel stops en route. Please support them if you see them on the roads. The Snowland Angling Centre at Par will be holding a Charity Fishing Match in aid of the BBC Children In Need Appeal on Sun 15 November. It is open to any angler in possession of a current EA Rod Licence. Further information is available from Trevor: 01726 825058. At Duchy College, the childcare groups are dressing up as bugs/insects. There will be lots of games and events to raise money for BBC Children in Need including an auction. C.A.S.P.E.R. U.K. (Cornwall And Somerset Paranormal Entity Research United Kingdom) and Pudsey Bear will travel in excess of 1000 miles to visit six haunted Venues throughout the South-West of England for the worthy cause that is Children In Need 2009. Devised by Nick Thurston, '6 Nights & 66 Ghosts' will commence on Friday 6 November and Saturday 7 November with a two night Dusk till Dawn Vigil with Briege Goodman and Pudsey in Room 5, Jamaica Inn, Bolventor. A week later on Friday 13 November 2009 of all days, they are joined by the other team members of C.A.S.P.E.R. U.K. along with 13 select guests at Pengersick Castle, Praa Sands. The following night on Saturday 14 November 2009 C.A.S.P.E.R. U.K, Pudsey and 18 select guests will then perform night four at Bodmin Gaol, Bodmin, Cornwall. Then finally, on Children In Need Night itself on Friday 20th November 2009 the Team travel back down to Bodmin Gaol and then wrap up the following night at Pengersick Castle on Saturday 21st November 2009. last updated: 21/10/2009 at 10:36 |
