Blast reporter Matt Nicholas caught up with Guy Watson, the 18 year old who started it all… For many people, starting their own business is a daunting enough task, but there are a brave few who still face the challenge. Guy Watson is performing a class act by starting his own theatre company at just 18 years of age. After studying drama alongside other subjects at Helston College, Guy intended to go to a drama school to further to progress his talent and considered many different institutions. ![]() Guy started the company at just 18. The Dream Team was initially a project that would springboard him into a drama school, but after enjoying the experience so much it has become a full time occupation for the budding director. With support from Our Money, Your Dream, a government funded scheme, this new theatre company should have no problem drawing in audiences with their energetic and entertaining performances. BBC Cornwall's Blast reporter Matt Nicholas went along to a rehearsal to find out more. With the theatre company only a year old, the future certainly looks bright for this group of young actors. James and the Giant peach is due to show at Truro's Burrell Theatre on the 27th-29th August, with a matinee also on the 29th.
