It's half term in Cornwall and our Pudsey Bear is out and about wanting to meet lots of children. Hibernating is the last thing on Pudsey's mind. He is busy spreading the word on BBC Children in Need, encouraging people in Cornwall to do their bit to help local children. Pudsey had an early start on Monday 29 October. He was a special guest on BBC Radio Cornwall's Breakfast Show, presented this week by David White. The early team were very happy to see their furry friend. Meet PudseyOn Friday 2 November Pudsey will be causing havoc at Lemon Quay in Truro. Why not come along and meet him, and pick up a fundraising pack. Pudsey will be at Lemon Quay around 1pm. ![]() On Saturday 3 November Pudsey will be going shopping in Truro. He will be in Lakeland from 11am and Boots in the city from 1pm. Come along and meet him there, and pick up your Pudsey merchandise from both shops too. Pudsey will also be making other appearances during the week with Emma Lloyd and Laurence Reed, listen out for him. Pudsey made his television debut in 1985 when Terry Wogan introduced the new, cuddly mascot to the audience. He was designed by Joanna Ball, a BBC graphics designer, who named him after the West Yorkshire town where she was born. Pudsey proved very popular and returned as Children in Need's official logo the following year with his design amended to that of a yellow bear with a red spotted bandage.
