Watch the piñata episode of Go Get Arty to follow along with the video tutorial.
Note: An adult must supervise this craft. Be careful using scissors.
Draw your shape onto a big piece of card and cut it out
Draw around the first shape on another piece of card and cut that out (so you have two identical pieces)
Make a strip of cardboard long enough to go around the edges of the other two pieces of card
Use a toilet roll to cut a hole in the middle of the strip of cardboard
Use masking tape to assemble your two pieces of card and the strip of cardboard together
Cut tissue paper into little strips and tape or glue to the piñata (overlapping them as your get to the top)
Put green sheets of tissue paper around a toilet roll and secure with tape
Cut slits into the green sheets to make it look frilly and decorative
Make sunglasses by cutting a sunglasses shape out of cardboard and adding black tissue paper to them with tape or glue
Add other decorations to your piñata
Fill up the piñata with treats
Stick the stalk on the top of the piñata using tape or glue
