Bollywood has finally graced West Yorkshire with a deserving gesture – the hottest hunk of Bollywood, current sex siren of India (and it seems the UK), John Abraham, made an appearance on Valentine's Day in Bradford! | | Tajpal meets John! |
The management of the Bradford cinema where Abraham appeared were no doubt chuffed with the fact that they had bagged only the biggest and brightest event this year for Bollywood fans. John Abraham is well known to buffs of the Indian film industry, but for those of you who don't know, he is India's answer to Brad Pitt. Oozing with sex appeal and style, John was voted the 'Hottest Indian Male' recently, and his filmography, not to mention forthcoming projects, are bigger and better than the last! The scene was set for a roaring day in Bradford. Quite fashionable, and in Indian style, John arrived two-and-a-half hours late. But he made up for that with his vivacious demeanour and delightful pomp, standing up on the table with a megaphone that didn't even seem to work! That's the Indian in it, I suppose! In context, the crowd number was expected, but it seemed that Bradford had called out louder than John or any of the crew had anticipated! Hundreds of people milled into the foyer, leaving poor old John stranded in the middle with no exit! | | Queuing round the block: 'We want John!' |
Some order was finally brought in the form of some voluntary guards, but even staff at the venue weren't expecting what was unfolding…The crowd was manic, at one point jeering, "We Want John!" at the top of their voices. I'm sure the rest of the cinema didn't escape the cries. After some rushed media interviews, more quick appearances (John was loving it!), he was out of there as quick as his PA could carry him. Out and away from Bradford, leaving it once again a city hungry for celebrity. I'm sure this is one event of many in the future for Bradford and West Yorkshire. Is Bollywood listening..?
