Sally, who is 24 years old and originally from Leicester, graduated this year and was awarded a distinction in her MA in Silversmithing, Jewellery and Related Product from the School of Jewellery. Brilliantly Birmingham Exhibitions![]() Tusheeta David Flux exhibition showcases new designersFor three years the flux exhibition in Birmingham’s jewellery quarter has been showcasing the best new and emerging contemporary designer makers from the UK and around the globe will be showed during the festival. Designer makers have been selected from destinations as far flung as Italy, Japan and Taiwan, as well as rising designer maker stars from the West Midlands. The exhibition is a chance to pick up a beautifully unique Christmas gift, or discover the next big designer maker. ![]() Sarah Kelly Binate Flux takes place at BCU School of Jewellery, Vittoria Street, Birmingham B1 3PA. until 20th December 2008. A programme of exhibitions, one off events and workshops and seminars across the west midlands will include:Make Do and MendBirmingham City Council is delighted to showcase the innovative jewellery of artist Sally Collins at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. Her collection Make Do and Mend features a range of jewellery made from second-hand fabric, wool, lace, nylon, copper, silver and gold. Her work explores the evolution of recycled materials and ornamentation. DATE: Until Sunday 22nd February 2009 ![]() The Jewellery Quarter Walks in the QuarterDATE: Saturdays 6th, 13th and 20th December 2008 Local historian, Chris Upton’s annual walks around the Jewellery Quarter have achieved almost cult status. David Louis Project – Design SpaceFor the first time, Design Space incubates will host a touring exhibition starting at St Paul’s Gallery, and finishing at ‘The David Louis Project’.
