Charlie was born and raised in Birmingham. You've probably heard her on the radio before, as she's presented shows on several local and national radio stations, including the BBC, over the last few years. ![]() Charlie Jordan She is sitting in for Ed Doolan while he's on holiday, so you can hear her on BBC WM from 10am to 1pm from 19th May to 6th June. Charlie has a passion for poetry and has worked with and learned from past Birmingham Laureates. She now holds the accolade of this year's Birmingham Poet Laureate. As Birmingham Poet Laureate, Charlie has been commissioned to write for Remembrance Sunday, Holocaust Memorial Day and many other civic occasions. Charlie also performs and runs workshops at the Birmingham Libraries, and is an ambassador for the Prince's Trust, as well as a supporter of Acorns Hospice. Her other passion - West Brom!
