So you might be wondering where it's gone to! The BBC Big Screen in Chamerberlain Square was removed on Wednesday 19th September. ![]() The Royal Ballet relayed on the Big Screen The screen only ever had temporary planning permission to be in Chamberlain Square while the restoration work was being done on the Town Hall. Now that's been completed and the Town Hall prepares to open its doors to concert goers from the first week of October, the screen has had to go. As soon as ArtsFest had finished and the BMIBaby beach was cleared away, the contractors moved in to remove the screen. ![]() Animation shown on the screen, A Dream of Long Ago A new screenThe good news is that there will hopefully be a new hi-tech screen somewhere in Birmingham next year, depending on planning permission.
