Fancy getting a little more involved? Well Reading Pride needs you! What better way to support your local community than to get hands on and give Reading Pride your time.

If you want to chill on the big day itself, then volunteers are needed before the event on 6-7 September to help set up, and after, on 9 September, to clear up.

If you can spare any time on the day then Reading Pride is looking for savvy stewards to "buddy" with the security personnel and be the first port of call for the Pride-goers.

Fundraisers are also needed to wield collection buckets, sell raffle tickets and assist with other fundraising activities.

Reading Pride say any help you can give is appreciated:

"We aim to support local LGBT organisations and charities to promote who they are, where they are and what they do.

"Over the last four years we have worked tirelessly to raise funds for those charities and for the festival itself.

"We are delighted that Reading Pride has gained charitable status this year and with your support we will continue to work hard investing in future LGBT projects for our local community.

"So please help us in whatever way you can - getting us an extra pound in the collection bucket CAN make a difference.

If you do help out, you will be expected to attend a steward training night so you understand your responsibilities.
