How much do you know about black British music? Take a seat in the famous Mastermind chair and find out.

The BBC, in collaboration with the V&A East Museum, is celebrating the sounds that shaped the nation with a season of programming called The Music is Black.

As part of these celebrations, the team behind Mastermind have put together a quiz about black British music, featuring fiendish questions and rarely-seen clips from across the BBC archive.

With questions covering pop, reggae, ska, trip hop, drum and bass, soul, funk, garage and grime, the quiz spans across seven decades of music.

Are The Specials your specialist subject? Do you know your Dizzee from your dub? Or are you a black British music beginner? The quiz offers two difficulty levels for you to test your knowledge.

And if you do well on the quiz, why not apply to be on Mastermind? Applications are now open.
